Embracing the power of Capoeira to break down barriers and foster health and social inclusion!
We are a Bristol-based social enterprise, driven by our Passion for Capoeira.
Our mission is to broaden access to the transformative practice of Capoeira by providing accessible classes to marginalised populations across Bristol.
Through our work, we aim to enhance physical and mental well-being, forge strong community bonds, and create enriching opportunities for all.
Together, let’s unlock the endless potential that Capoeira holds for a brighter future!
Capoeira is open to all and at Move Free CIC we are actively trying to create a culture that is welcoming to everyone.
Building on the positivity and social acceptance already present in our Capoeira group Nucleo de Capoeiragem, we embrace the belief that all people have value and the right to belong.
We aim to build a community with our active partners and class participants and further building bridges between these communities through our shared activity of Capoeira.
We will work with honesty and integrity to respect the rights, differences, and dignity of the people in our community and beyond.
We will support our partners, students, Instructors and friends of our community.
We aim to create a sense of physical and emotional safety where people can develop meaningful connections and have the freedom to express themselves.
We have successfully hosted a variety of taster sessions in Bristol through crowdfunding, which has enabled us to establish a strong network of partners. Alongside these efforts, we applied for three grants, and we are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded two of them. This tremendous support has allowed us to expand our offerings, and we now conduct four weekly classes, in addition to a monthly session. It is important to note that grants come with limits on their usage and are taxable. Currently, we are actively raising funds to cover our tax bill.
